Cambelt Replacement — common questions

When should the cambelt be replaced?
Most manufacturers specify replacement every 4 to 6 years or 60,000 to 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. We check the exact interval against your VIN before quoting.
Do I need to replace the water pump at the same time?
On most modern engines the water pump is driven by the cambelt, so we always recommend replacing them together — the labour is already done, and a water pump failure will strip the new belt.
