Land Rover Discovery 3.0 TDV6 Timing Belt & HPFP Belt Replacement

Another important maintenance job completed at Southern VSR Ltd. This Land Rover Discovery was in with us for replacement of both the main engine timing belt and the rear high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) drive belt.

On the 3.0 TDV6 engine, replacing the timing belt is an essential part of preventative maintenance. The separate high-pressure fuel pump belt also needs attention and can easily be overlooked when the main timing belt is being replaced — if it fails, it can cause serious engine damage.
